IP already assigned to another network adapter
Scenario.
After replacing a network card, it happens that Windows maintains the IP configuration on the tab removed. This is because this is an IP network adapter is already assigned to another. So if we want to reset the new card with the same parameters, we are prevented.
IP already assigned
The fact that an IP is already assigned to another network adapter. It is unfortunately a problem, I wouldn’t bug, known and widely discussed. This happened both with Windows XP, Windows Server 2003 and 2008. There is no information that happens again with Windows 7, 8 and 10. Anyway here are how do you remove the network adapter remained hidden.
You do it like this:
set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1
devmgmt.msc
Then on the menu of the Device Manager Window, click View and then Show Hidden Devices
You’re done. Now you can remove the device with settings that overlapped with those of the new network adapter.
